IASBA is dedicated to abolishing human rights abuses in the Arab world. In any area where a man or a woman suffers wrongful abuses, or is not being treated with respect related to their rights, IASBA is interested in helping and healing these situations.
One definition of the word RESPECT means: due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights names the 30 fundamental rights that each individual and all people are entitled to have.
A person and a society must know that Human Rights exist and that they are entitled to those Rights. IASBA has a strong educational program for students and adults to learn about these rights so that they may know and understand their human rights, and apply them.
Help IASBA make Human Rights a reality.
“Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home – so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. Yet they are the world of the individual person; the neighborhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm, or office where he works. Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.” Eleanor Roosevelt
